The Friarbots have been very busy this past week. Our engineering teams have developed various prototypes for the robot, such as the shooter and climbing mechanisms. We have also been designing the robot parts using Autodesk Inventor. Our funding committee has been hard at work adding new sponsors to the team and our media team has been constantly working to update our website and getting information about the team out to the public. Today (January 23rd) we gave a presentation about our team at a program called GOALS, a not for profit program that involves thousands of low-income youth annually through a combination of athletics, after school educational enrichment, and community service.
